Steinway upright moved in Tonbridge
A Steinway piano is perhaps the most prestigious of all pianos, and this particular one that we moved was absolutely beautiful. Steinways are notoriously heavy; the estimated weight of this one would be about 900lbs. We’re not sure that the owner of this piano was aware, but what tickled us was that he drove about 2 feet behind our van …
You cannot be serious?! Another Steinway moved at Wimbledon
The Ball Was Out! In the summer of 2019, we were appointed to move a Steinway grand to the Players Enclosure Lounge at Wimbledon Tennis Club. As McEnroe once said, “you cannot be serious!” Blue Skies On the day, we were allowed to drive the van right up close to the Enclosure Lounge to unload it. It was an absolute …
Steinway Grand moved to Battle
We moved this Steinway Baby Grand from Bromley to Battle and although it was on the third floor, luckily, we were able to fit it into a service lift and take it safely down to ground level. This lovely piano was carefully delivered to an undisclosed location in Battle.
Upright moved to a converted windmill
We moved a stunning Bechstein upright piano into one of the coolest houses we’ve ever been to. It was a converted windmill that we can only describe as straight out of Hollywood. In the garden was infinity pool that over looked the Kent countryside; it really was a fabulous place. We remember looking longingly at this pool as we pushed …
Resto Steinway moves room
Even something seemingly as simple as moving a piano from room to room can still be tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing. This Steinway was in pristine condition as it had just been restored and valued at £40,000 – talk about making us sweat! It had to be navigated successfully round a tight hallway and into the main …
Steinway upright moved to Wadhurst
It always surprises us how many Steinways there are here in the Kent area. This was a beautiful Steinway which still had the Sconces (Candelabras) featured on it. These would normally be long gone, placing this particular piano somewhere in the early 1900s. This was a stunning piano and our only complaint was that it weighed close to 1,000lbs!
Tonbridge School called time on piano
When Tonbridge School called us in to dispose of this 1908 Rogers upright piano, we were surprised to see how much it had been played. The brass pedals had completely worn through, we bet this piano had a few stories to tell with over 100 years of use.
Rare prototype Steinway upright delivered
We’ve just completed a delivery of a very rare prototype Steinway. When we collected this Steinway from the Maidstone collection address, we were told that it was a rare early Steinway prototype. We looked after it in our usual meticulous fashion and it was delivered safely and securely to the Crowborough area without any problems.
Piano disposal in Tonbridge
Capturing the process of a piano disposal from inside the house to our van, in the Tonbridge area. As you can see we take care even when it’s a disposal.
